2010-03-17 [Veltzeh]: How long should the "Setting" part be? (Asked by someone who really makes those settings... :P) Also, if I type up a description of a D&D character, how much of the stuff like class and levels and mechanics should I explain? I gather that the contest isn't about the actual mechanics, but many RPGs do have character stats as a pretty integral part of the character.

2010-03-17 [NOOOPE]: The setting can be as long as you want as long as the entire thing isn't over 900 words. As for the mechanics, not all of the judges have played D&D, so it would just be confusing. So I'd say leave them out in favor of details about the personality and whatnot.

Also, it would be wise to focus on the character, not the setting. This contest is all about the character.
